Becoming A Video Journalist

By Cliff Etzel • May 8th, 2007 • Category: VJ Training, Video Journalism

Today is the first of many postings related to just about anything I can get my hands on regarding the craft of Independent Video Journalism.

I just signed up for an online course with OnQCo, a company dedicated to providing video journalism training to print photojournalists.

Although I would really like to attend Dirck Halstead’s Platypus Workshop, I just cant see myself paying that kind of money out of pocket. OnQCo is now offering online training for the affordable price of $179.00 $199.00. Needless to say, even with my background in still photojournalism, the concepts needed to shoot video go beyond the scope of my almost 30 years of shooting.

Anyone looking to hone their skills to work as a video journalist and can’t afford hands on training, I highly recommend looking at this resource.
